2019 GMC Sierra Denali And The Denali Ultimate Package: Feature Spotlight

2019 GMC Sierra Denali And The Denali Ultimate Package: Feature Spotlight

The 2019 Sierra Denali is an innovative pickup truck that takes GMC’s Like a Pro motto (neé Professional Grade) to new heights. But in case the “regular” 2019 Sierra Denali is not Pro enough for you, the new Denali Ultimate Package (RPO code PEC) puts the icing on the cake for the ultimate expression of the Denali experience by shoehorning nearly every option into the truck.

Under the hood, the Denali Ultimate Package includes the most powerful gas engine available for the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 – the 6.2L V8 L87 EcoTec3 engine mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. That’s as great a starting point as any.

Features & Equipment

From there, the Denali Ultimate Package adds the following two packages:

  • Technology Package, which includes:
  • Driver Alert Package II package, which includes:

In addition, the Denali Ultimate Package also adds the following features:

  • Sunroof
  • GMC MultiPro Power Steps
  • Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System
  • 22-inch polished aluminum wheels
  • 275/50R22SL all-season blackwall tires

Probably the most noticeable part of the Sierra Denali Ultimate Package are the 22-inch polished aluminum wheels wrapped in 275/50R22SL all-season blackwall tires. The large rims don’t look gaudy, but instead have a very technical appearance that looks just at home on the truck. Wheel locks are included, which makes sense for a set of wheels this good-looking.

It’s worth noting that the wheels, which are pictured below and carry RPO Code Q7L, are the only ones available with the Denali Ultimate Package on the Sierra, meaning that the package can not be ordered with any other wheels.

Another feature of the Denali Ultimate Package worthy of attention is the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System (RPO Code PTT). The system consists of a module and a set of four sensors. Notably, GM states that the system must be ordered with the vehicle and installed by the factory. From there, the tire pressure sensors for the trailer are shipped with the truck and the customer is responsible for installing the sensors on the trailer. Additional or replacement sensors are available as a separately-sold accessory.

GMC has yet to release official pricing details for the all-new 2019 Sierra, so we do not know how much the package will cost. The package is a $6,775 option on the outgoing K2 platform Sierra Denali 1500, but the last-generation model includes less (for instance, it does not have the Rear Camera Mirror or the Trailer Sensors). As such, we assume that the Denali Ultimate Package will be more costly on the all-new T1 platform model.
