This 1953 MG TF is finished in Dove Grey over deep red and has been with the seller for 20 years and 29k miles. Power is from a 1,250cc 4-cylinder that was reportedly rebuilt 12k miles ago in 2001 and is paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Recent work included a front brake rebuild, new clutch and pressure plate, fresh wheel bearings, and replacement front suspension bushings in 2016. A canvas top, side curtains, tonneau cover, and clip-on wind wings are included along with a car cover, manuals, and factory jack. This TF is offered with records from current ownership and a clean Nova Scotia title in the seller’s name.

The car is said to have been previously refurbished in a non-factory color in the 1980s, and was dismantled for a repaint in its original Dove Grey in 2015. Several photos are provided to detail the condition of the finish and brightwork. Fading is described on the chrome headlight rings, decorative radiator cap, hood trim, and AMCO luggage rack hardware.

The cabin is finished in deep red vinyl on the seats and door panels as well as a full black carpet kit with embroidered MG logos. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel has replaced the original. Factory octagonal gauges include a 5-digit odometer showing approximately 48k miles, just over 29k of which have been added by the seller. The temperature gauge is said to be non-functional.

The 1250cc XPAG inline-four made 57 horsepower when new and was reportedly rebuilt with updated seals from Moss Motors 12k miles ago in 2001. Upgrades include an electronic ignition and stainless exhaust. A new clutch and pressure plate were installed in 2016. Annual oil changes and lube services have reportedly been carried out under the seller’s ownership.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual gearbox and an MGA differential, though the original unit will also go with the car. New wheel bearings, shocks, suspension bushings, and brakes were installed up front in the past several years along with new rear hubs.
