This 1964 Jaguar XKE Roadster was purchased by the seller’s father in 1995 and driven approximately 100 miles before it was disassembled in preparation for a restoration. Rust repair and a bare metal repaint in British Racing Green were performed before the car was returned back to the family’s garage, where the project has sat untouched for the past 22 years. A 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six, triple SU carburetors, 4-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, wire wheels, tan interior, and much more are included in the sale. This XKE project is now being offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a transferable New Hampshire registration.

Some damage occurred during storage on the left side of the bonnet as the result of a broken garage door spring. Series I styling includes a smaller front grille, glass-covered headlights, and turn indicators mounted above the bumpers. The rear differential and suspension are currently removed, and the rear of the car sits on jack stands. At the time of listing, the seller has been unable to locate the convertible top and frame.

The shell was media blasted following disassembly and placed in a custom jig. Metal repair was carried out on the floors, firewall, cowl, and trunk floor before the body refinished and reunited with front frame.

The 3.8-liter twin-cam six remains fitted with its intake and exhaust manifolds. Photos of the included radiator, carburetors, and accessories are shown in the gallery. Stamping #RA 6896-9 is visible on the aluminum cylinder head and matches the Data Plate and recently acquired Jaguar Heritage Certificate. The Jaguar 4-speed gearbox wears stamping #EB15016JS and also matches.
