BaT Auction: 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe 6-Speed at No Reserve
This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe is finished in Forest Green Metallic over a Cashmere Beige full leather interior. The 3.4L flat-six sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, and the car is said to remain unmodified apart from the addition of 18″ Carrera five-spoke wheels. Purchased new in Florida, the car moved to Colorado with the original owner, and returned to Florida and Texas under subsequent owners. The seller purchased the car in June 2018 and 138k miles are now shown. A service and inspection will be performed prior to delivery. This 996 C4 is now offered with a clean Carfax, owner’s books, and a clean Texas title.
The body is finished in Forest Green Metallic (Dschungelgruen Metallic L2A1), and shows a number of chips on the front bumper cover, the driver’s door edge and other small blemishes pictured in gallery close-ups. No accidents or bodywork are recorded in the provided Carfax, though the car is described as white on Texas inspection reports from 2013-2017.
The original Turbo-look wheels have been replaced by later-model 996.2 Carrera 18″ alloys, which show a few spots of curbing and wear 2011 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires in back, with newer Goodyear all-season rubber up front.
The cabin is trimmed in Cashmere Beige full leather, which extends to the dash, doors, and center console. An Alcantara headliner was optioned and can be seen in the gallery. A Becker CDR-210 CD-radio head unit with EQ pre-sets can be seen in the center stack, which shows a small crack in the plastic surround, and delaminating on the climate control LCD screen. 137,635 miles are shown on the digital odometer.
Power-adjusted leather seats include driver’s memory settings, and show typical creasing most prominently on the driver’s cushion. Leather surfaces of the shifter and console lid also show wear and discoloration commensurate with the age and mileage.
The front trunk houses an unused collapsible spare with an air compressor and took kit.
The 3.4L flat-six is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels, and 1999 cars utilize a double-row IMS bearing. Factory power ratings were 296 horsepower with 258 lb-ft of torque when new, propelling the car from 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds in contemporary testing. The seller states that the drivetrain is unmodified, and an oil service and inspection will be performed prior to delivery.
A readout of options found on the under-hood sticker is as follows:

A couple pictures of the underside have been provided by the seller, and the floor pans can be seen in the gallery below.
A collection of owner’s books and manuals is pictured above. Records for service are not available. Keys and a remote are included, though the seller notes that the remote needs to be reprogrammed at a Porsche dealership.
An accident-free Carfax records owners in Florida, Colorado, and Texas prior to the seller’s purchase. A few maintenance visits are recorded, with the last major service reported in 2012.
