This 2005 Toyota MR2 Spyder was originally sold at Bill Wright Toyota in Bakersfield, California and was driven under 2k miles before being purchased by the second owner in 2007. He added nearly 30k miles to the car over the next 11 years, and it was acquired by the selling dealer in February 2018 and relocated to Ohio. Power comes from a stock 1.8-liter VVTi inline-four mated with a 5-speed manual transaxle and optional Torsen limited-slip differential. The car was serviced in April 2018 with an inspection and oil change. Now showing just under 31k miles, this third generation MR2 is being offered at no reserve with some records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title.

2005 was last year of sales for the MR2 in North America, and this example came from the factory finished in Silver Streak Mica (1E7). The paint is shown up close in gallery photographs below, along with a number of matching body panel VIN tags.

Staggered 15″ front and 16″ rear alloys wear the original Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires up front with date codes from November 2004. Continental ControlContact Sport A/S tires that were installed out back in late 2013.

Inside, the grey cloth upholstery shows a small blemish on the driver’s seat and retains its original branded floor mats.

Stock carbon fiber-style trim is contrasted by white-faced gauges, aluminum-look door handle trim, and chrome rings around the shifter, door-mounted tweeters, and door handles. The original leather-wrapped steering wheel and CD head unit remain in place, and the this example came equipped with air conditioning. The digital odometer indicates 30,936 miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller.

The 1.8-liter 1ZZ-FE inline-four is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and an optional Torsen limited-slip differential (C65-01B). The mid-mounted engine produced 138 horsepower when new, and it was also used in the contemporary Celica GT. The car was serviced in preparation for sale on April 13, 2018 at Metro Toyota in Brookpark, Ohio. Work consisted of a multi-point inspection and an oil/filter change.

The accident-free Autocheck report shows no title or odometer issues, and the clean Carfax documents mileage with nine odometer readings from February 2005 to April 2018. Partial service records from Toyota dealerships in California and Ohio are included in the sale.
