BaT Auction: 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster 6-Speed
This 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is finished in dark metallic blue over tan leather with blue stitching and shows just under 31k miles. The seller purchased the car around three years ago and has added over 8k miles since. Power comes from a 4.3-liter quad-cam V8 paired with an automated 6-speed manual transmission. An oil change and wheel sensor service were performed in October 2018. This Vantage Roadster is now being offered with maintenance records from the seller’s ownership, a clear Carfax, and a clean North Carolina title.
Designed by Henrik Fisker, the V8 Vantage features a bonded aluminum structure featuring weight reduction and increased rigidity. The dark blue metallic finish is shown from multiple angles in the photo gallery below, and the Carfax is free of prior accidents or damage reports.
This particular Roadster features factory-optional chrome 19″ seven-spoke alloy wheels. Each corner is shown in the gallery, and a set of 235/40 front and 275/35 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires with 2014 date codes are currently mounted. The dark blue fully-electric folding soft top utilizes a glass rear window with defroster, and is also pictured in the gallery
Inside, the tan leather is accented with blue stitching, dark blue carpets, a blue dashboard, and a black steering wheel.
Factory equipment includes dual power seats with memory functions, a pop-up satellite navigation system, xenon headlamps, power accessories, a premium CD audio system, and more. The automated 6-speed manual transmission can be left in full-auto mode, or shifted manually via paddles behind the steering wheel.
Currently the digital odometer shows 30,878 miles, over 8k of which were added by the seller.
Under the hood is a naturally-aspirated 4.3-liter DOHC V8, which produced 380 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 302 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm when new. The most recent service was completed on October 3, 2018, and records from the seller’s ownership are included in the sale. This car currently carries a loan through Pacific Mercantile Bank in Costa Mesa, California, which will need to be paid off prior to title transfer.
The accident-free Carfax reports Texas ownership from new until the seller’s purchase in 2015. Consistent odometer readings and a number of service history records are also recorded.
