BaT Auction: 2003 Honda S2000
This 2003 Honda S2000 comes from the last year of the AP1 model and features a 2.0-liter VTEC four with a 9,000 rpm redline. The car is finished in Silverstone Metallic over a black interior and shows 79k miles. Stock features include a black soft top and 16″ 5-spoke wheels, while modifications consist of an aftermarket front lip, exhaust header, Godspeed sway bar, and AP2 valve cover. This AP1 S2K is sold with removed stock parts, two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Silverstone Metallic, and the Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. Cosmetic issues noted by the seller include spiderwebbing on the left corner of the rear bumper, scrapes on the Rockstar Garage Gears front lip, and chips on the forward surfaces. Several panel VIN tags are shown in the gallery below.
The black soft top features a glass rear window with defroster, standard equipment for the S2000 starting in 2002. Stock 16″ 5-spoke wheels are mounted with Yokohama S.drive rubber all around. A Godspeed front sway bar is installed, with the stock item also included in the sale.
The interior is finished in black, and additional photos show the pedals, switchgear, seating surfaces, and more. The seller notes stained floor mats as well as a mark on the driver’s side of the dashboard. The digital odometer shows just under 79k miles, with about 6,000 added by the seller.
The 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four is equipped with VTEC variable valve timing and produced 240 horsepower at 8,300 rpm when new. A 6-speed manual was the only available transmission. The car was last serviced in June 2018 at 74,500 miles with a synthetic oil change and OEM filter as well as fluid replacements for the transmission, differential, and clutch. A Honda cabin air filter and a AP2 valve cover were fitted at 72k miles. An aftermarket exhaust header was previously installed, and the removed original parts are included in the sale.
The underside is shown above, and photos of the trunk, removed header, sway bar, top boot, and owner’s manual are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and shows a valve adjustment, ECU check, spark plug change, and brake fluid flush at 69k miles in 2017.
