This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was sold new at Ed Lee Chevrolet of Mineral Wells, Texas and reportedly remained with the original owner until 1986. The second owner commissioned a restoration and subsequently used the vehicle as a show car, scoring 99.3 in NCRS judging in 1992. The fifth registered owner continued to show the car in NCRS meets, gaining two additional Top Flight awards. The seller acquired the car in 2006 and has since added most of the 7k miles covered since the restoration was completed, while installing a few reversible modifications intended to improve drivability. Power is from the original 427ci L71 V8, which features Tri-Power induction and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in Marlboro Maroon over a black vinyl interior and equipped with a stinger hood, black soft top, an aluminum radiator, and a high-capacity water pump. This C2 convertible is now being offered with partial service records, some spares, a Protect-O-Plate, a reproduction window sticker, NCRS certificates, tank sticker, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

A restoration by the Nabers Brothers was commissioned by the second owner, a Fed Ex executive, and completed prior to 1992. The car is finished in its original shade of Marlboro Maroon (988AA) with a black stinger, and the seller notes a scratch on the hood. Equipment includes side pipes and a black soft top, shown in the raised position below.

Reproduction Kelsey-Hayes turbine alloy wheels wear Coker red-line radials. The factory Rally wheels with trim rings and bias-ply tires are included in the sale. This Corvette was primarily used as a show car from the early 1990s until being acquired by the seller, who has added about 6k street miles over the last dozen years.

A Muncie M21 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission sends power to the 370R Posi-traction rear end.
