BaT Auction: 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Turbo at No Reserve
This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Turbo is finished in Astral Silver Metallic over blue MB-Tex interior and shows 66k miles after nearly 35 years with its original owner, a lawyer in Massachusetts. Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, and recent work included an oil change, cooling system flush, and fitment of new hoses. The car comes with two spare Bundt wheels, a tool roll, floor mats, a first aid kit, a stamped service book, manuals, and more. This W123 coupe was recently acquired by the selling dealer in New York and is offered with a clean Carfax report and a Massachussetts title.
This coupe is finished in Astral Silver Metallic (735U) paint, which was recently detailed according to the selling dealer. The right front fender was removed and repainted in the late 1980s, reportedly after a run-in with a shopping cart. The Carfax report shows no other accidents or damage. Silver 14″ Bundt wheels are mounted with Dunlop tires at each corner. Two extra Bundt wheels are included along with a matching spare with an older tire in the trunk.
Exterior features include a sunroof and chrome trim on the beltline, mirrors, and lighting. A hairline crack is noted on the lens of the driver-side headlight housing along with a small ding on the passenger-side rocker panel.
